—— Academics
Academics at INDILA
INDILA provides a rigorous, accredited K–12 curriculum designed for flexible, self-paced online learning. Students receive personalized academic plans, certified teacher support through asynchronous instruction, and clear progress goals to help them grow confidently and independently.
—— Our curriculum
Accredited, Indiana-Aligned, and Individualized
INDILA uses a high-quality, accredited, asynchronous curriculum aligned to Indiana academic standards. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to support a wide range of learners, from those who need more time to those ready to accelerate. Live instructional sessions are the exception, not the rule: students work through lessons on their own schedule while certified teachers guide, grade, and give feedback.

—— Time expectations
About One Hour per Day, per Course
Most students spend about one hour per day per course. Because INDILA is self-paced, asynchronous, and designed to support individual learning needs, actual time varies. Each module contains different types of learning activities, and students work at different speeds.
This is a planning guide, not a required schedule. The weekly pacing guide and teacher check-ins keep each student on track.
✦
Younger students
Often benefit from shorter, more frequent work sessions to maintain attention.
▤
High school students
May spend more time on coursework because credit is at stake and assignments are more complex.
◷
24/7 access
Lessons are available any time, so students can structure their day in the way that works best for them.
✓
Progress is monitored
Teachers track pacing against each student’s plan, as long as students are progressing consistently and completing quality work.

—— A day in the life
What a Learning Day Can Look Like
Flexibility with structure. Every family’s day looks a little different, and the weekly plan keeps it on track. This is one illustrative example, not a required schedule.
1
Morning
Check the plan
Student reviews the weekly pacing guide and today’s assignments on the dashboard. A parent might glance at the plan over breakfast.
2
Late morning
Core coursework
Lessons in mathematics and language arts: reading, interactive practice, and a submitted assignment.
3
Midday
Break and movement
Lunch, a walk, practice, or a chore. Online learning leaves room for life outside the screen.
4
Afternoon
Science, social studies, electives
A lab simulation, a history reading, or an elective project. Questions go to the teacher through platform messaging.
5
Late afternoon
Feedback and wrap-up
Student reads teacher feedback on yesterday’s work, revises if needed, and checks tomorrow’s targets.

—— IEPs and 504 plans
Support for Students With IEPs and 504 Plans
INDILA welcomes students with IEPs and 504 plans. Because our program is self-paced, asynchronous, and home-based, many supports commonly written into traditional IEPs and 504 plans are already built into every INDILA course.
During enrollment, please share your student’s current IEP or 504 plan. Our team will review it and meet with your family to plan how INDILA can best support your student within our model. While INDILA is individualized and centered on each student’s unique needs, we recognize that a virtual, asynchronous, home-based education may not be the best fit for every learner.
✓ Built into every course
✓ Text-to-speech
✓ Speech-to-text
✓ Extended time
✓ Breaks as needed
✓ Flexible pacing
✓ Multiple attempts on graded work
✓ Untimed quizzes and tests
✓ Choice of work and testing location
✓ Placement in courses that match a student’s current skill level, regardless of grade
What INDILA does not provide
As a private school, INDILA provides academic accommodations, but we do not provide special education services, specialized instruction, or therapies such as speech, occupational, physical, or behavioral therapy. We also do not conduct educational evaluations or hold IEP meetings. Families are responsible for arranging any outside services or evaluations, and for any associated costs.
